Get to know Dr. Rivas

My name is Edgar Rivas and am currently a math teacher for 5th grade.  This is my 7th year in education and am looking forward to teaching fifth grade again as well as continuing a path towards school administration. My expertise is utilizing instructional technology and really supplementing student's learning with a medium that they are naturally accustomed to understand.  I have taught the four major content areas and have taught some segment of all K-5 students.  I am passionate about elementary students as the primary grades are essential to learning.

I am originally from Guatemala City, Guatemala but have called Georgia home for over 30 years.  My growing family includes my wife, Evelyn and our two daughters Sofia (5) as well as Roslyn (2).  I look forward to helping your student bridge any gap or build on their knowledge.  At LCF we are all committed to the goal of building life-long learners!
