Why Read Alouds?
I believe read alouds benifit students in learning how to use language to make sense of the environment to which they learn and live in. It can also improve their information processing skills, vocabulary, and comprehension in all academic an non academic areas.

K-1 Read Alouds
The Kindergarten and First grade read aloud books will be randomly chosen. These levels were designed to help students gain more confidence in there reading by providing opportunities to read various texts that are not to difficult or to easy. This allows the reading to process the text at a pace where the frustration level can be controlled.
2nd-3rd Read Alouds
The Second and Third grade read aloud books will be based on the Fountas and Pinnell reading levels. These levels were designed to help students gain more confidence in there reading by providing opportunities to read various texts that are not to difficult or to easy. This allows the reading to process the text at a pace where the frustration level can be controlled.
4th-5th Read Alouds
The Fourth and Fifth grade read aloud books will be based on the Fountas and Pinnell reading levels. These levels were designed to help students gain more confidence in there reading by providing opportunities to read various texts that are not to difficult or to easy.
